Former Apollo CEO Leon Black sues House Oversight Committee over Epstein probe subpoenas, refuses to appear Thursday
Black's attorneys argue the subpoenas for nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) are invalid as they exceed the committee's authority and have no legitimate connection to its legislative purpose, adding that the NDAs have nothing to do with his dealings with Jeffrey Epstein. A top Democrat on the panel has called for Black to be held in contempt for defying two Congressional subpoenas.
