The European Commission has approved the merger of Spanish packaging companies Caiba and Nosoplas. The new entity will be jointly controlled by Portobello Capital Fondo IV, Cobega, and Sonab. The European Commission concluded that the transaction would have a limited impact on competition in the relevant markets and would not raise competition concerns. The merged company will focus on PET preforms, containers, and recycled PET resin, integrating packaging manufacturing and recycled material supply in Spain.
