Gilead Sciences has secured three U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approvals in less than four months. The most recent, on August 27, was for Bixlenvo as a daily oral medication for the treatment of virologically suppressed adults with HIV infection. Prior to this, Trodelvy received two new approvals on June 24 for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer, and Hepcludex received accelerated approval on May 22 for the treatment of chronic hepatitis delta virus (HDV) infection.

The company's stock price has risen by over 21% year-to-date. Additionally, Gilead Sciences reported second-quarter revenue of $7.6 billion, an 8% increase year-over-year, and projects full-year revenue to be between $30.1 billion and $30.4 billion.
