Foshan Haitian Flavouring and Food Company, a Chinese condiment manufacturer, has acquired Amoy Food from private-equity group Trustar Capital. Financial terms of the deal for Amoy, which is based in Hong Kong, were not disclosed. Amoy, founded in 1908, produces soy sauce, oyster sauce, seasoning sauces, and frozen dim sum, distributing to over 40 countries. Haitian, dual-listed in Shanghai and Hong Kong, reported total revenue of 16.15 billion yuan ($2.41 billion) in the first six months of the year, a nearly 6% increase from the prior-year period.
