Crypto Stocks Coinbase, Strategy, and Robinhood Rise Despite Failed Clarity Act Vote
Shares of Coinbase Global (COIN) are up 1% to $174, Strategy (MSTR) is up 1% to $130.66, and Robinhood Markets (HOOD) is up 0.57% at $111.08 in early Wednesday trading. This comes after the U.S. Senate rejected the Clarity Act, a market structure bill for digital assets, by a 50-49 vote on Tuesday, falling short of the 60 votes needed to advance. Analysts suggest the market had already priced in the defeat during Tuesday's sharp selloff. Meanwhile, the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) is down 0.2%, while the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) is up 0.35%.
