Donald Trump's former Pentagon chief technology officer, Emil Michael, said on Wednesday that the Trump administration should not seek to nationalize artificial intelligence companies or hold partial government stakes in them. He also questioned increased regulation of AI companies, arguing that existing laws are sufficient, and agreed with President Trump's view that pushing for an AI slowdown or more regulation is a "scam" and a "coordinated effort."
