According to the Financial Times, the hackers, who call themselves “iamnotavillain,” have given Revolut 24 hours to pay 6,000 XMR (approximately $3 million) or they will sell the stolen customer data to other criminal groups. The group stated they targeted customers with significant crypto holdings, affecting at least 680 Revolut accounts. The breach occurred after attackers posed as government officials to obtain customer records.
