Leapmotor Chairman Zhu Jiangming revealed to Wallstreetcn.com on September 17 that the technology Leapmotor developed for its own vehicles is now being incorporated into new cars of other brands. The company is engaged in platform-level cooperation with FAW and Stellantis, with one project with FAW already entering mass production. Core components such as battery packs, electric drives, controllers, and vehicle lights can be developed, manufactured, and supplied by Leapmotor to its partners. Currently, Leapmotor's electric drives and power electronics components have been designated by 8 OEMs, while its battery systems and electronic systems have entered into external cooperation with 10 and 5 partners, respectively. Zhu Jiangming stated that providing complete sets of core EV components offers a cost advantage of approximately 1,000-2,000 yuan compared to customers sourcing from multiple suppliers, and also shortens the system matching time.
