South Africa plans to establish a new state-owned company to manage its real estate portfolio, valued at 155 billion rand (approximately $9.5 billion). Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds, which hold trillions of dollars in assets, have advised South Africa to set up a fundraising vehicle to support this initiative.
