Powerus announced on September 17 that it had received a "limited purchase order" from Pakistan's Ministry of Defence and signed a memorandum of understanding with senior Pakistani defense officials. However, one of the company's co-founders is a former Israeli soldier, and less than three months ago, Powerus granted an exclusive license to an Indian defense manufacturer to produce and sell its drone interception technology in India. Pakistan does not recognize Israel and is a long-standing rival of India, which has raised questions among analysts about the deal. Powerus, invested in by Donald Trump's two sons through American Ventures, is expected to hold a 9.9% stake in the merged company.
