Schwartz highlighted a case where a private manufacturer is challenging Connecticut state legislation restricting product sales, with the business arguing the state attorney general's office is deliberately refusing to clarify product legality criteria, creating impossible compliance conditions. Schwartz called these actions "grossly unfair," noting the government's strategy forces businesses to operate under rules where "you cannot possibly know whether you are complying with the law."
