Crypto payments firm MoonPay acquires SEC-registered North Capital in an all-stock deal valued at over $60 million.
MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright stated that the acquisition will support MoonPay's goal of achieving widespread adoption of tokenized real-world assets. North Capital provides securities tokenization technology infrastructure for private securities issuers and fund managers, with approximately $9 billion in transaction volume on its platform. Upon completion of the transaction, North Capital will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of MoonPay, pending regulatory approval.
