Yemen's Saudi Arabia-backed government forces announced on Thursday that they repelled coordinated Houthi attacks on Wednesday night in the southwestern governorate of Taiz, killing and wounding dozens of Houthi fighters. The renewed hostilities come amid mounting regional tensions stemming from the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran. The Houthis recently gained control of the port city of Mocha and the Red Sea coast.
