U.S. Secretary of State Rubio said on Wednesday that the White House has invited Putin to engage with U.S. President Donald Trump and other world leaders at the G20 meeting in Miami in December. Kremlin spokesman Peskov said on Thursday that Russia "truly" appreciates the "goodwill" invitation but has not yet decided whether to accept it. Polish Prime Minister Tusk fears the move will "encourage Russia to continue its aggressive policy," and EU foreign policy chief Kallas also said it was "difficult to understand" such an approach.
