Blue Origin has completed its first round of external financing, raising $10 billion and achieving a valuation of $140 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal. Founder Jeff Bezos injected an additional $2 billion in this round, bringing his total investment since the company's founding in 2000 to approximately $30 billion. This funding will enable Blue Origin to catch up with SpaceX and support its aggressive revenue growth plans, with the company projecting revenue to exceed $30 billion by 2030. In May, its core asset, the New Glenn heavy-lift rocket, exploded on the launchpad, halting launch operations, and the company is currently rebuilding the associated facilities.
