Financial Secretary Paul Chan on Sunday said artificial intelligence would bring new job opportunities to Hong Kong while boosting economic growth. He noted that the city's exports recorded a year-on-year growth of 53 percent in August, driven by demand for AI-related electronic products. Chan also expressed confidence in achieving this year's GDP growth forecast of 3.5 percent to 4.5 percent. He added that he arrived in Doha, Qatar, on Sunday morning to attend an annual meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, where he plans to promote Hong Kong's advantages and share its experience in infrastructure development.
