Puffer announced a partnership with Google Cloud to enhance Ethereum transaction finality through collateral-backed pre-confirmation services.
Puffer, an Ethereum transaction infrastructure company, announced on September 22 that Google Cloud will operate a gateway to receive Ethereum transactions and provide result guarantees before settlement. Puffer's UniFi network will be the first to use this service, Puffer Preconf, which aims to enhance user experience by having operators provide collateral to back transaction result commitments. Puffer CEO Amir Forouzani stated that if a pre-confirmation fails, the gateway will face a penalty of 1 ETH. As of September 23, UniFi and Puffer Preconf are still operating in a test environment.
