Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci stated on Tuesday that he is "not overly concerned" about a new software glitch that is further delaying the certification of Boeing's 737 Max 10. The aircraft is already years behind schedule. Minicucci noted that the launch of the Max 10, which Alaska plans to equip with lie-flat suites for service starting in late 2028, could be postponed if the delay lasts several months. Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Bryan Bedford confirmed on Monday that the agency is assessing a software issue, which sent Boeing shares down sharply.
