Samsung Life-backed European alternative asset manager Hayfin opens Seoul office
Hayfin Capital Management, a European alternative asset manager backed by Samsung Life, opened an office in Seoul on Thursday, aiming to deepen relationships with Korean institutional investors and expand its investments in the country, particularly in maritime finance. Hayfin, which manages €45 billion (approximately $51 billion) in assets, has appointed Chris Choi, former head of private credit at UBS Asset Management, to lead the office. Hayfin currently manages nearly €1 billion in assets on behalf of Korean investors.
