Samsung Electro-Mechanics has secured long-term supply agreements for AI-related components totaling approximately 3.6 trillion Korean won (about $2.6 billion) this year, ensuring component supply for customers' servers in 2027 and beyond. The latest deal, announced on Tuesday, involves an agreement with an unnamed global company to supply multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) and inductors worth approximately 290 billion won throughout 2027. MLCCs and inductors are crucial for AI servers as they provide stable power.
