Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday via social media that the Trump administration has proposed trilateral technical-level talks between the US, Russia, and Ukraine by the end of October, adding that Ukraine is open to the UAE or other US-proposed countries hosting the talks. Zelenskyy added that he knows the US will also make this proposal to Russia, and Ukraine has responded positively and will await Russia's reply. Previously, US President Donald Trump had urged Zelenskyy to stop attacking Russian oil refineries, stating that these attacks "are hurting the world" as disruptions to fuel supplies continue to drive up US diesel prices.
