Wallstreetcn: China's leading insurers increased their equity investment allocation in the first half of the year, with China Life rising to 13.06% and New China Life to 13.2%.
According to Wall Street Insights, financial reports from leading listed insurance companies indicate a new round of increased allocations has been made to their portfolios. In the first half of 2026, China Life's stock investments as a percentage of investment assets rose from 11.25% at the beginning of the year to 13.06%, while New China Life Insurance saw an increase from 11.8% to 13.2%. Ping An and CPIC's group stock positions were 14.6% and 11.7% respectively. Including fund positions, New China Life's combined stock and fund allocation reached 25.5%, Ping An's was 19.4%, and CPIC's was 13.9%. Concurrently, major shareholding actions by insurance funds reaching the "trigger point" for mandatory disclosure (known as "Jupai" in China) have moved away from last year's intensive pace, primarily concentrating on high-dividend financial stocks.
