U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Brad Cooper stated that the U.S. blockade of Iran has inflicted a "devastating cost" on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In a video statement, Cooper claimed that the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports has completely halted Iran's maritime imports and exports, allowing only humanitarian aid to pass through. He added that the U.S. has "significantly degraded Iran's ability to project its power abroad," including "sinking the Iranian navy, destroying its weapons factories, and limiting the IRGC's ability to launch ballistic missiles and drones."
