XRP Ledger validators set to deploy bug-fix patch for lending system by Friday, though system still lacks approval
A batch of bug fixes, including some for the lending system Ripple has proposed to banks, is set to go live on the XRP Ledger this Friday, October 23. The patch, called fixCleanup3_4_0, had exactly 29 validator votes as of Monday, meeting the 80% threshold needed for approval. However, the lending system itself and its associated vaults are still short of the required 29 votes, meaning lending functionality cannot go live before early November at the earliest. The patch also closes a loophole that could allow accounts to create new tokens despite being restricted to burning them.
