BitGo launches new innovation unit BitGo Labs, focusing on AI and crypto.
BitGo has launched BitGo Labs, a new research and innovation unit aimed at designing the next breakout applications for digital assets. The unit will initially concentrate on the intersection of AI and crypto, stating that the AI economy requires crypto financial infrastructure for micropayments, instant settlement, and asset security. BitGo Labs has already launched Gokubu, a consumer application that uses an AI-powered card to optimize user spending and rewards. BitGo CEO Mike Belshe previously noted that AI agents are likely to use stablecoins as their native currency.
