Nikkei Asia reports that Japan's reliance on Australian beef is growing due to climate change impacts on global beef production, with over 50% of its imports now coming from Australia. To diversify sources, Japanese buyers are seeking alternative suppliers such as Argentina and Brazil. Additionally, China and South Korea have reached their respective tariff quotas for Australian beef this year, which could leave more supply available for Japan.
