Cardano makes significant progress in India, with 100,000 farms now registered on-chain.
The Cardano Foundation announced that 100,000 Indian farms have been registered on its blockchain, marking a significant milestone in real-world applications. The project aims to bring all agricultural data on-chain, providing a transparent and verifiable way to track farm data, to help over 100 million smallholder farmers in India who lack reliable agricultural data gain access to financial services and insurance. Since June, the project has grown from approximately 15,000 farms to 100,000, developed in collaboration between Cardano, Syngenta Foundation India, and several blockchain technology partners.
