Iran is set to host a regional security meeting today in Tehran with top defense officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan. Ali Bagheri, the deputy secretary of Iran’s National Security Council, stated that Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman, Pakistani Army Commander General Asim Munir, and Turkish Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalin will participate in talks with Iran’s National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei. This meeting marks the first high-level contact between Iran and all members of the three-nation bloc since Saudi Arabia faced escalating attacks from Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis.
