Cloudflare observed attack traffic, and the UK National Cyber Security Centre advised organizations to take systems offline if they cannot patch quickly. Shinobi noted that AI discovered this vulnerability within hours, which changes the speed but not the nature of hacking. He assessed that Bitcoin's libsecp256k1 and Bitcoin Core's slow development actually enhance its security, and advised Lightning node users to go offline and store Bitcoin in cold storage.
