TechCrunch reported that AI company Anthropic's S-1 filing shows Amazon is set to gain significantly from Anthropic's initial public offering (IPO), far exceeding venture capital firms. As of June 30, Amazon's $6.2 billion in convertible notes had surged in value to $97.9 billion. Additionally, Amazon has invested a total of approximately $18 billion in Anthropic, while Anthropic has committed to paying Amazon Web Services (AWS) at least $110 billion over the next 10 years. Google is also expected to reap substantial benefits from the IPO and its cloud services agreement with Anthropic, having committed to paying at least $114 billion in cloud fees by 2033.
