Iran's security chief Rezaei criticized Europe for complaining about the costs after supporting Israel's war against Iran.
Iranian security chief Mohsen Rezaei posted on X, accusing Europe of now complaining about the billions in costs from a war with Iran, after supporting Israel's "dirty work" against Iran. Rezaei wrote: "When you cheered for war crimes, did you not think the consequences would also reach you? War and terror come at a price. Now it's your turn to pay." Previously, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated in June 2025 during an Israeli attack on Iran: "This is Israel doing the dirty work for all of us." European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also said this month, "Households and industries are paying the price for a war that extends far beyond our borders."
