Bitcoin staking platform b14g suffers $1.47M exploit, losing 97M CORE tokens via zero-token withdrawals
Bitcoin staking platform b14g suffered a $1.47 million exploit on Oct. 31, losing approximately 97 million CORE tokens. According to blockchain analytics firm Bitquery, the attacker drained 91 staking positions by submitting withdrawal requests for zero CORE, which the Core staking contract interpreted as an instruction to withdraw the entire staked balance. b14g has confirmed the unauthorized withdrawals, paused affected contracts, and is coordinating with partners to recover funds. Staked Bitcoin was not affected, as the breach was limited to CORE deposits.
