Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) announced on Monday that it has delivered the first two FA-50 light fighter jets to Malaysia, part of a contract signed in 2023 to supply 18 jets to the Southeast Asian nation. The two FA-50M aircraft departed from KAI's headquarters in Sacheon, South Korea, last Thursday and arrived at Malaysia's Kuantan Air Base last Sunday. The aircraft will be officially handed over to the Royal Malaysian Air Force after completing final acceptance tests.
