CrowdStrike Launches AI Agent Emergency Kill Switch and Announces Plans to Acquire Two AI Security Companies
According to CNBC, CrowdStrike rolled out an AI agent emergency kill switch built into its Falcon Guardian platform on Tuesday. The company stated that security teams can use the feature to halt anomalous internal AI agents across systems running its Falcon platform, prevent them from restarting, and sever enterprise network access. Chief Business Officer Daniel Bernard noted that human judgment is still required to determine whether an agent's behavior is benign or malicious. Additionally, the company announced an integration with Anthropic's Claude Cowork, along with plans to acquire AI observability firm Fiddler AI and AI security testing firm Dreadnode.
