Google will secure equity in TeraWulf's AI project if Anthropic defaults. According to a filing submitted by TeraWulf on Wednesday, under a 20-year, $19 billion lease agreement spanning 401 megawatts of computing capacity at a Kentucky campus, Google has agreed to guarantee Anthropic's performance. If Anthropic defaults on rent payments or becomes insolvent, Google may step in as the lessee and take over the lease, and under specific conditions such as paying a termination fee, it can also acquire equity in the project's operating subsidiary, Raylan Data.
