99.7% of Zcash's New Security Fund Comprises Historical Reserves, Accumulating Just 1.12 ZEC Under New Rules
According to CryptoSlate, based on mainnet snapshot data from November 7, the balance of the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM) reserve introduced after Zcash's NU7 upgrade stands at 369.7 ZEC. Approximately 99.7% of this total (368.58 ZEC) comes from previously unclaimed legacy subsidies and fee seeds, while the actual new amount accumulated under the new NU7 fee rules is only about 1.12 ZEC.
