Vitalik Buterin: Ethereum should be positioned as a store of value rather than a burn token
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has shared a new perspective, stating that the community should stop obsessing over ETH's attribute as a "burn token" and reposition it purely as a store of value. He believes that trying to value a hundred-billion-dollar blockchain based on the amount of gas burned is a dead end, and that Ethereum should center its core values on long-term security, privacy, censorship resistance, and decentralization (CROPS). Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko also noted that blockchain networks must create real value for users, rather than using access control fees as their product.
