USDT and Economic Sanctions: Legal Challenges and Compliance Dilemmas in the Crypto World
As the world's largest stablecoin, USDT is facing increasingly stringent economic sanctions scrutiny and compliance pressure. The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, has frozen hundreds of millions of dollars in USDT assets linked to illicit activities and sanctions evasion.
