What is the value of DOC (Dollar on Chain)? Is it suitable for long-holding?
DOC, or Dollar on Chain, is a US dollar-backed stablecoin issued by Money On Chain on the Rootstock Bitcoin sidechain, aiming to maintain a peg to the US dollar. Its value is derived from Bitcoin collateral and smart contract mechanisms rather than price appreciation. Recently, its price has hovered around $1, and its market capitalization remains relatively small. If capital appreciation is the goal, DOC is typically not a typical long-term investment asset, making it more suitable as an ecosystem settlement and hedging tool.
