According to data from the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, cultural and tourism spending in the city reached 910 million yuan on New Year’s Eve, a 32% increase from the previous year. On January 1, 2026 (the first day of the New Year’s holiday), monitored locations across the city—including scenic spots, rural tourism sites, and national-level nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters—received 1.961 million visitor visits, a 19.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025 on a comparable basis.
