According to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), “Deep Sea No. 1,” China’s largest offshore gas field, recently completed its 100th shipment of crude oil since production began. In 2025, the field’s annual oil and gas production exceeded 4.5 million tons of oil equivalent, a scale comparable to that of a medium-sized onshore oil field, marking that China’s deep-sea gas field production and operation and maintenance technologies have reached world-class standards.
