The State Council has issued the "Action Plan for Comprehensive Management of Solid Waste" to improve the legal and regulatory framework. Efforts will be made to advance the compilation of the Environmental and Ecological Code and the revision of the Law on the Promotion of a Circular Economy. Pollution-emitting entities will be required to disclose environmental information on industrial solid waste in accordance with the law, and such disclosures will be incorporated into environmental credit evaluations. Regulations and rules concerning the recycling and treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment, hazardous waste operating permits, and construction waste will be revised. Accelerate the introduction of administrative measures for the comprehensive utilization of power batteries from new energy vehicles. Improve statistical survey systems for bulk solid waste and renewable resources, and strengthen the statistical system and evaluation mechanisms for the circular economy.
