Saudi humanitarian aid agency says it will step up aid to the Gaza Strip
On January 4 local time, Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, Director General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in Saudi Arabia, announced that the center would increase its air, sea, and land aid to the Gaza Strip. To date, 77 aircraft and 8 ships have delivered more than 7,699 tons of food, medical supplies, and shelter materials. In addition, 912 Saudi aid trucks have arrived in the Gaza Strip, delivering food aid, shelter supplies, medical equipment, and various other materials. Saudi officials said they have also delivered 20 ambulances to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. Saudi Arabia has signed agreements with multiple international organizations to implement relief projects worth $90.35 million in the Gaza Strip. To bypass closed border crossings and ensure aid reaches its destination, Saudi Arabia has also collaborated with Jordan to carry out airdrop operations. (CCTV News)
