The acting president of Venezuela invited the U.S. to engage in cooperation
Venezuela’s acting president, Rodríguez, said Sunday evening that following the operation to capture President Maduro, she invited the United States to cooperate with Venezuela. In a statement, she said: “We extend an invitation to the U.S. government to advance a cooperative agenda within the framework of international law, centered on shared development goals, and to strengthen lasting community coexistence.” U.S. President Donald Trump had previously indicated that Rodríguez would cooperate with the United States. Rodríguez’s initial remarks had condemned the raid and called for Maduro’s release.
