This afternoon (the 6th), the State Council Information Office held a press conference to brief the media on efforts to promote green consumption. Sheng Qiuping, Vice Minister of Commerce, stated that from 2024 to 2025, China will implement a vehicle trade-in program covering 18.3 million vehicles, with new energy vehicles accounting for nearly 60% of the total. Additionally, the home appliance trade-in program will cover 192 million units, with over 90% of the replaced appliances meeting Grade 1 energy (or water) efficiency standards. The trade-in policies drove 3.92 trillion yuan in consumer goods sales and benefited 494 million consumers. (CCTV News)
