NVIDIA’s stock rose slightly in premarket trading after the company unveiled a more powerful AI chip ahead of schedule. On Monday, CEO Jensen Huang showcased the company’s latest AI server system, dubbed “VeraRubin,” at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.Although NVIDIA shares closed Monday down slightly by 0.4% at $188.12, they rose 0.3% in pre-market trading on Tuesday to $188.62.This new AI server system is scheduled to go on sale in the second half of this year. The announcement came earlier than market expectations, as NVIDIA typically waits until its spring developer conference in Silicon Valley to disclose detailed specifications and features of its latest chips.
