As the world’s third-largest and fastest-growing region for cryptocurrency, Africa is also becoming increasingly vulnerable to digital asset scams and fraud. A recent Interpol operation in Africa seized $260 million worth of illicit cryptocurrency and fiat currency, underscoring the urgent need for Africa to strengthen cybersecurity to combat cybercrime.
