SemiAnalysis: Nvidia's share of system memory spending is expected to exceed 40% by 2027
Svmuu News: SemiAnalysis posted on X, stating that the proportion of memory in hyperscalers’ capital expenditures has sparked considerable discussion, particularly following MU’s earnings report last week. Some market participants were surprised by the level this proportion might reach next year. SemiAnalysis released its preliminary views in late February, and many clients took issue with its 30% figure. In May, after price increases outpaced expectations, SemiAnalysis responded by stating that, when DRAM, NAND, and HBM are combined, memory spending in Nvidia systems will exceed 30% by the end of 2026 and surpass 40% in 2027. SemiAnalysis expects this trend to become clearer in the coming months.
