India's central bank today kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged for the fourth consecutive time to observe whether rising energy costs due to the Iran war would spread to broader inflation. Previously, Anubhuti Sahay, head of South Asia economic research at Standard Chartered Bank, stated that India's inflation has been moderate so far, but its buffer is thinner than it appears.
