Melius Analyst Projects Nvidia Could Reach $1 Trillion Revenue if SpaceX Delivers on AI Compute, Citing Potential $100 Billion Boost from 2-3 GW Capacity
Melius Research analyst Ben Reitzes stated that if SpaceX executes even 2-3 gigawatts (GW) of its planned AI compute deployment in 2027, it could add approximately $100 billion in incremental revenue for Nvidia. This projection is based on SpaceX's recent commitment, announced during its August 4 earnings call, to build its AI computing platform exclusively on Nvidia's Vera Rubin chips, targeting 20 GW of capacity by the end of 2027. Reitzes believes this demand signal could help push Nvidia's total revenue to $1 trillion, a figure previously projected by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang for cumulative Vera Rubin chip sales through 2027. Melius maintains a "Buy" rating on Nvidia with a $400 price target.
